About Us

South West Queensland (SWQ) is the regional body for representative touch football in South West Queensland. The SWQ Swans send representative players from both junior and senior teams to national events (NTL & NYC). The non-for-profit organisation is affiliated with Queensland Touch Football (QTF) and Touch Football Australia (TFA). Registered players from any of the South West Queensland affiliates are eligible to trial for SWQ Swans at representative events.

SWQTA currently services eight affiliates in the South West region; Chinchilla, Dalby, Esk & District, Goondiwindi Ladies, Ipswich, Roma Juniors, Springfield, Toowoomba & Wandoan Touch Association. Our affiliates run competitive and social weekly competitions for adults and juniors.

The South West Queensland Swans are proud to have a strong relationship with the Gold Coast Titans NRL club. The sport of touch football originated from rugby league and the links between the two sports remain evident to this day. Gold Coast Titans support various events & programs such as junior touch games held at half-time during NRL home matches.
